8 Habits That Could Be Destroying Your PC

8 Habits That Could Be Destroying Your PCYes, you are a lawyer and this looks like a bit of a tech-related write up for you. It is true BUT it does affect you if your tool for getting work done isn’t just performing.

Most of us use a Windows PC. Windows is by far the most used operating OS in the world.

The performance of your PC deteriorates over time. The battery life reduces and the speed reduces. It can be frustrating getting things done. What many don’t realize is that you may be the one causing your own problems.

Yes. You could be the cause of or contributing to a greater part of your challenges with your PC. I came across a great article on, “8 Bad Habits That Are Destroying Your PC.”

It is an easy read. I believe you will find it very useful.

The writer, Whitson Gordon lists these 8 habits that are destroying your PC.

  1. Leaving Your Laptop on a Plush Surface (and Other Overheating Problems)
  2. Letting Dirt, Dust, and Liquids Run Wild
  3. Handling Your Laptop Carelessly
  4. Mismanaging Your Old Battery
  5. Disregarding Electrical Safety
  6. Stressing the Cables and Ports
  7. Wasting Time on Unnecessary Maintenance
  8. Browsing the Web Unprotected

Nothing lasts forever but you can do something to help maximize the use of your PC and use it for a longer time.

You can’t afford to give yourself the excuse that you are not techie. The things you need to do are not complicated at all. These are simple things you can do and adhere to. Take these things seriously and you will find out that you can help your PC have a “better life” in the long run – that’s less stress for you.
