Simple Little Tricks To Attract In New Clients

One of the biggest mistake you will ever make is not having an email list! This is really important because it’s the most direct and cheapest way to communicate with your clients.

There’s a saying in the online marketing world that “the money is in the list“. This statement is perfectly TRUE!

So how do you go about building your own email list…

Building your own email list is all about getting permission to follow up with them afterwards and providing value. To get permission, think about what incentives or high quality content you can create in order to drive people to give you their contact information.

For example if you are a human rights lawyer, you can come up with a 10 page article on the rights and obligation of a Nigerian. Or maybe a checklist of what an individual needs to know before hiring a lawyer…

Once you’ve made up your mind on your free offer, the next thing to do is to create a landing page – often called an opt-in page. An opt-in page is simply a page on your website that is 100% focused on getting people to subscribe to your mailing list. It’s with this opt-in page that you capture their contact information.

When you start growing your email list, there are different ways you can use to keep  your subscribers interested in you.

1. You can send your list regular updates, such as newsletters, information about your industry that your clients would want to be informed about, or maybe links to your latest pieces of content on your blog/websites.

2. You can also decide to put your clients in an autoresponder series. Autoresponders are series of emails that you set up in advance and schedule to send to new subscribers within a specific time frame as they join your mailing list.

Usually it goes this way;

The first email to your subscriber is the welcome email which would also have the incentive you promised them on the opt-in page.

The next email, sent a few days later maybe, 2 to 3 days, follows up with the subscriber, asking how they liked the incentive and provide some form of value.

The next email, sent a few days later, (2 to 3 days) will let subscribers know about you and your practice

When you continue to send your list valuable content, and they get to know you, whenever they have to hire a Lawyer, your name will be the first name on their mind.
