What You Need To Succeed For The Remaining Months in 2020

As we move to the end of the first quarter in 2020, my mind is flashing back to the goals I made for 2020, and am sure yours is flashing back right now too. (smiles)

This is a great time to review your goals, set new goals and refresh your mindset. it’s still a good opportunity to reassess and redirect.

If you feel trapped right now and you find yourself always working in the business rather than on the business, here are some ways I want you to practice to help shift your mindset for the remaining months in 2020:

  1. It is ok to say “No” sometimes

Set your schedule and stick to it, and be a master of your calendar and your daily emotional energy. By nature, saying “yes” to something is saying “no” to something else. Because, If you don’t have a definite vision and plan for your time, someone else will fill that time for you with their own stresses and needs. Please do not be at the mercy of others, learn to say ‘NO’ when you have to say it.

Remember, this includes saying no to clients. The 80/20 rule applies here: 20% of your clients end up creating 80% of your stress. The sooner you let go of these bad clients, the sooner you can take back control and get your life moving in the right direction. Reduce the number of Pro-bono cases you take on, and focus your energy on getting clients that will pay for your services.

  1. Have an Abundance Mentality

Have come to know that, life is much more flourishing and gratifying when your mindset is grounded upon positivity and abundance.

There’s more than enough clients to go around for law firm. The big firm isn’t “stealing” your clients any more than you are stealing from them. The more love and positivity you’re able to put out into the world the better for you and your law firm.

When you focus on being the ‘victim’, referral sources and potential clients will somehow pick on that, and turn the other way. So, stop whining and complaining, and take up the challenge, position yourself and your law firm out there, and spring up lots of positivity into the world and it will surely come back to you in full measure.

  1. That Expected Big Change is Already here for you

So many lawyers today are stuck in a rut because they think that the results they’re getting are consistent and eternal. Meanwhile, other lawyers in your exact same situation are taking action and getting results. The only difference between the two of you is a mindset, and how they choose to deal with whatever situation they find themselves.

You can definitely build a firm that:

  • Attracts your ideal clients
  • Takes care of your ideal lifestyle
  • Gives you free time to spend with your family

Without this shift in your mentality, nothing else in your life can move forward. This cannot happen until you first conceive and believe that it is already here for you.

Dear lawyers, this 2020 belongs to you, if you have a clarity of vision and the determination to take charge of your lives this very moment.
