Would you like to walk into your chambers, open up your work mail to see emails from the biggest international organizations in your focus industry wanting to work with your law firm?

OR

Would you like to walk into your chambers every day knowing that there is always a steady stream of clients coming in or contacting the firm asking for your services and you don’t ever have to worry about where that next client is coming from?

Would that be something that would interest you?
Well, I’ve got news for you.

All this is possible when you leverage the one tool that you already use: THE INTERNET.

Yup. It’s as simple as that.

In this letter, I will show you the right way to leverage the internet so that you can:
> Have a steady flow of clients choosing to work with you over and above the competition because they KNOW,          LIKE and TRUST you!
> Take your practice beyond borders by positioning your firm appropriately to attract international clients and               partnerships.
> Establish yourself as an authority in your chosen field and call the shots in your legal career.

... all while upholding the Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) to the highest standards.

But first, let me tell you a true story about a lawyer in New York, USA.

Jeffrey Smithe had a small practice in an obscure town in New York State. His briefs basically came from people he knew and what referrals he had from them. His practice had some busy times but many more slow times.

And he got thinking: “How can I reach more people and get more clients on a steady basis?”

So, he turned to the internet.

With no budget for advertising, he was forced to be creative and began to implement a simple strategy (which I’ll break down for you in just a minute) to get him more visibility and bring in more clients.

Well, it worked.

Slowly but surely, he began to get clients calling him because they discovered him online.

And then, one day, he got a call out of the blue: There was a huge Law Firm hosting an event in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and they wanted him to speak because he was an expert in this area their event was centered around.

They had discovered him online and thought he could add tremendous value to their event.

The end.

The moral of my story is this: With no advertising, but simply and consistently implementing a strategy over a period of time, Jeffrey Smithe was able to grow his clientele locally AND break out internationally.

Here’s Are The Questions We Would Answer For You

Before that though....

Do you have a website for your law firm?

Does your website bring you customers or clients or is it just a little more than a brochure online?

Are you leveraging the power of social media to reach your ideal clients?

Well, all that can change if you follow a simple step-by-step strategy for boosting your legal practice and career online.

You’ll need 3 things to make this work:

  1. Your Ideal Client

For a Law Firm, begin by asking yourself: “What area of practice do you want to focus on?”

It’s tempting to try to do everything at once but when it comes to building a strong online brand for your firm, focus on your ONE thing, establish that first and then, you can add other practice areas to it.

For An Individual, ask yourself: “Who is my ideal client?”

In other words, who do I want to recognize me and my expertise?

It could be law firms in a particular practice area where you hope to work one day, a government organization, an international organization, etc.

Get clear on this.

2. A Website

For A Law Firm: Your website is the most critical part when you want to establish your brand online.

It is your online “office space” and MUST showcase you and your law firm as successful and able to answer potentials clients’ needs and questions.

For an Individual: Having a personal website is optional but it could go a long way in establishing you as an authority in your practice field.

It is important to note that your website is going to do 2 things for you:

  • Talk to your ideal client (which we’ve talked about figured out in Step 1) and

  • Showcase your expertise as a valuable and trusted resource/advisor.

3. Content/Articles

You need to be willing to write (or have someone else write) highly targeted pieces of content that answers client’s questions and positions you as an expert and a firm/legal professional they can trust.

Ideal Client + Strategic Website + Valuable Content + Consistency = A Strong Brand that will last and bring you a lot of business.

That’s it.

And just in case you’re still a little bit skeptical, let me share some eye-opening statistics with you:

    • As of July 2019, the number of Internet users in Nigeria hit an all-time high of 120+ million people (source: NCC)

    • 54% of these internet users use it on a daily basis.

    • Nigeria ranks #7 in the world for internet usage.

    • The most visited site in a Nigeria is Google.com (meaning people are constantly searching for solutions to their problems)

    • 76% of internet users in Nigeria use Facebook

Now, let’s take a look at some stats directly connected with the Legal Industry:

    • One of the first places people go to when thinking about working with a lawyer is the Lawyer’s website.

    • 96% of people with a legal issue use the Internet to find answers to their problem.

    • Over 38% of people of people looking to hire a lawyer turn to the internet first.

    • Many of these users determined whether the law firm was successful or not simply by looking at the “design of the website.”

With these numbers, chances are your clients are using the internet. And you should be too.

If that doesn’t make you think a little more about your online strategy, then this isn’t for you.

But if it does, let me make this clear: An outstanding digital presence doesn’t happen by accident.

It does not happen by randomly posting things on social media and hoping for the best. It takes expertise and hard work.

I know this is a lot of information, and you probably have questions racing through your mind.

Questions like:

  • I have a website but is it good enough?

  • What social media platform should I use?

  • What practice area should I focus on?

  • Will I have the time to do this?

  • How much would this cost me?

  • What if I have a limited budget?

  • What content should I write?

  • How should I write it?

That’s where we come in.
