7 Benefits Why Law Firms Need a Blog to Create Visibility

In this post, I will be sharing with you 7 benefits why law firms need a blog to create visibility and exposure in practice. There are numerous benefits you will enjoy when you set up and run a company blog. Click on this link to read a post of having attractive headlines for your content creation.

As mainstream as online visibility has become, I still get people ask whether it is really a required part of running a viable and vibrant law firm.

Well, as a company, a large part of our success has been as a result of online visibility. In other words, we had/have a clear content publication strategy. We’ve literally seen the difference it can make in terms of visibility, leads, and sales.

Therefore, I firmly advocate that you invest heavily in a content publication strategy, ESPECIALLY as a lawyer, and that strategy begins with your company blog. The blog can be an aspect of your website. This will enable you to create and publish content regularly.  It is a dynamic website.

Here are 7 benefits your practice will enjoy when you set up and run a company blog:

  1. Increases leads

This is really simple. Research has shown that the more pages a site have (which is what a blog offers you), the more leads it gets. The more you blog, the more leads you generate. More content means more people subscribing to your blog, more enquiries, and ultimately, more clients!

  1. Puts a face to your brand

A blog helps to show a personal side to your legal service. It provides a means to touch on issues and concerns of interest to your potential clients, at the same time allows you to share what you are passionate about. Your blog posts give you a unique opportunity to share your voice and personality, building up trust and increasing your brand’s likeability measure.

  1. Increases search engine traffic

A blog gives you a chance to publish fresh content on the internet as often as possible. This on its own is food for improving your ranks in search engines like Google, Yahoo, etc. Think of each blog post you publish as a fishing hook. The more hooks you have in the water, the more likely you are to catch a fish. In the same way, as you add more content to your blog page, you improve your search visibility and increases website traffic.

  1. Builds you as an authority in your Niche

If you have been looking for a way to build an authentic authority brand in your niche as a lawyer, a blog is a sure way to do so. This is simply because it gives you a platform for sharing important information and insights related to your niche. In addition, this builds trust and familiarity with your audience.

  1. You become a reference point

On the internet, the more you put quality content out there, the higher your chances of being referred to by others in your niche online. How this works is that other website owners will link to your blog content. The more you get such inbound links, the higher your ranking in the search engines. Conversely, without a blog, it can be extremely difficult to attract authoritative links to your business website. Your blog becomes a resource for other bloggers and media.

  1. Facilitates effective engagement

With blogging, you get the opportunity to connect with your existing and potential clients. Unlike a static website, a blog signals to visitors that you’re open to comments, feedback and even criticisms. And from a business perspective, the opportunity to learn what’s on the minds of prospective clients is a huge advantage. You can also use this medium to ask further questions, gain new insights into your clients’ needs and structure your content to suit what you’ve learned about them.

  1. Facilitates sharing

Every time you release an article on your blog, you create an opportunity for your audience to share your blog with others. This is more true when you publish content that’s of extreme value. Whether they link to your blog post, tweet it, or email it to others, it’s free marketing and it further validates your practice as credible.

There are still other reasons that make blogging essential. But I’ll wrap this with the simple reason that with minimal effort and expense, you can build credibility for your practice.

Blogging simply just makes sense!

This is an opportunity no small business should pass up.
